What to expect from a Canvas connection
Availability depends on your school and the permissions Canvas grants. If a school permits a personal access token, it stays only on that device; it is not stored in Simplyr’s cloud services and cannot automatically move to another device without approved OAuth.
How to set it up
- Open Manage Connections in Simplyr.
- Enter and validate your school’s Canvas or Instructure root URL.
- Use approved OAuth when available, or follow your school’s token process if permitted.
- Review imported courses and select Sync now to refresh them.

Use Canvas for official submissions, announcements, instructor communication, and final grade records. Simplyr helps organize available information around your daily workflow.
