Calendar integration guide

Blackboard Calendar iCal Import for your student planner.

Use a private Blackboard calendar subscription link with Simplyr when your school enables iCal or ICS export. Simplyr does not replace Blackboard; it gives your imported calendar a calmer place beside courses, tasks, grades, and study tools.

Open iCal Connections
Set up your feed

Find the private calendar URL.

  1. Open your Blackboard calendar.
  2. Look for iCal, ICS, calendar subscription, or calendar feed.
  3. Copy the private HTTPS link your school provides.
  4. Paste it into Simplyr Connections and select Blackboard for guidance.
What Simplyr imports

Keep the calendar useful.

Simplyr imports events from a valid feed and uses event identifiers to update matching items on later imports instead of duplicating them.

Your school controls which calendars and events are exposed. Availability can vary by account, course, and institution settings.

Compatibility note: Simplyr supports the standard private iCal/ICS feed format. It does not store your feed URL after import and cannot enable an export that Blackboard or your school has disabled.
